| 사업내용 | 1. Background / objectives - In 2015, Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) for Vietnam was 54 deaths/100,000 live births and in 2017, the Infant Mortality Rate was at about 16.7 deaths per 1,000 live births. - The main causes of maternal and infant deaths in Vietnam are hemorrhages, Congenital, respectively, which can be preventable through proper obstetric ultrasound services. - In most hospitals in Vietnam, radiologist does not cover obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound, and obstetrician and gynecologist rarely use ultrasound; therefore proper antenatal care is not available. So the JW LEE CGM's partner hospital in Vietnam requested an educational program in obstetric, fetal, neonatal and congenital anomaly. - JW LEE CGM teamed up with professors in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), Department of Pediatrics, and Department of Radiology from Korea and initiated a training program on fetal and congenital anomaly ultrasonography, and visited Vietnam for lectures and live-demo education targeting medical staff from OB/GYN, pediatrics, and radiology. - Through this educational program, Vietnamese medical staffs will improve their knowledge on obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound. The educational program will reduce MMR and contribute to the improvement of maternal and child health in Vietnam as a long-term goal. 2. partnership - Vietnam: University Medical Center, Ho Chi Minh City and Military Hospital 175, Ho Chi Minh City 3. activities and output 1) The 1st Ultrasound, CT, and MRI education in Vietnam - Purpose: Vietnamese medical staffs will improve their knowledge on obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound and contribute to the improvement of maternal and child health in Vietnam as a long-term goal. - Date: 2017.2.17~2017.2.18 - Venue: University Medical Center, Ho Chi Minh City - Number of Participants: ~ 300 Medical staffs - Data: Participant information, satisfaction score, pre-post test score and feedback 2) The 2nd Ultrasound, CT, and MRI education in Vietnam - Date: 2017.11.10~2017.11.11 - Venue: Military Hospital 175, Ho Chi Minh City - Number of Participants: ~ 80 Medical staffs 3) The 3rd Ultrasound, CT, and MRI education in Vietnam - Date: 2018.11.9~2018.11.10 - Venue: Military Hospital 175, Ho Chi Minh City - Number of Participants: ~ 70 Medical staffs 4. Future Plans and expectation - Evaluation research was done for the workshops based on 2017-2018 education program. The contents of the paper will analyze participant’s satisfaction, self-confidence and knowledge test score. - JW LEE CGM will hold the 4th education program in Vietnam in November 2019 refined through evaluation research. - With evaluation of past program, feedback and discussion, JW LEE CGM and Vietnamese hospitals will develop the most suitable maternal and child health care model. |
